Nicole Szmidt was born in 1998 in Chorzow (Poland), lives and works in Gliwice. She is a contemporary abstract painter. In the creative process, she is inspired by the way color and shape affect the emotions of the viewer. She creates art intuitively, experimenting with different media. Her paintings are compelling portals to another reality, an interaction of color and space. They are vivid and dynamic, creating a sense of depth and dimensionality through intersection and superimposition. Szmidt is able to create a sense of light that is both realistic and ethereal, drawing the viewer into the scene and inviting him or her to explore the emotions and feelings the painting evokes. The artist’s works can be found in private collections in Poland and abroad (including Spain, the United States, Japan and Germany), and also appear at Polish art auctions.
